Hello again!

Along with the three people in charge of making this entire franchise (Michael Chandler—Director of Production, Lauren—Director of Physical Production and Michael Metcalf—Business Marketing Director), we are also getting help from professionals. Bruce Economu, the president of Pine Rive Productions, has been working with the Evenly Odd writers and leading writing seminars. He has been a resource for the writers and has been providing advice and feedback. Jay Williams, a Senior Vice President at Craig Murray Productions, met with my section of Evenly Odd, marketing. Williams gave us advice on marketing webisodes and mobisodes. He has been a great resource with advice for the marketing team of Evenly Odd. Another professional that is helping with our project is John Wells of John Wells Productions. Wells came in and directed episode one of Evenly Odd and worked with the production crew. The CEO of MediaSauce Brian Gray will be coming in to help the Web production and marketing teams. We are also proud to have Delaurentiis Productions as a sponsor for Evenly Odd.

          Wow, we are almost halfway through our semester! I have so much to let you all know about the Ball State University Center for Media Design’s upcoming webisode series. Let me first tell you that this project is HUGE!!! It is the largest immersion project BSU has ever created. Three colleges including many departments within these colleges are all collaboratively working together to create 10 webisodes and mobisodes. The colleges include the Miller College of Business, the College of Fine Arts, and the College of Communication, Information, and Media.

          You are probably wondering what this webisode series is called. It’s Evenly Odd. Work began on this project more than a year ago with the CMD hosting a script writing contest. The winner, Mohammond and now the lead writer for the series, is working under the direction of Betsy Pike to finish all of the Evenly Odd webisodes.
